The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) opened registration today for the 2016 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology. The conference will be held April 17-20, 2016 in San Diego, California.

“BIO is pleased to hold the world’s largest conference on industrial biotechnology again in one of the significant west coast hubs of the biotechnology industry, San Diego,” stated Brent Erickson, Executive Vice President, Industrial and Environmental at BIO.  “Programming will explore biotechnology’s impact on the entire value chain for advanced biofuels, biobased products, renewable chemicals, synthetic biology, algae and biobased consumer products.  Attendees will get a first-hand look into how biotechnology is bringing about transformative solutions to societal problems and building a robust, sustainable bioeconomy.  And  business leaders will have a chance to use BIO’s new up graded business partnering system.”

BIO’s World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology brings together from across the globe business leaders, investors, academics and policymakers in the biofuels, biobased products, renewable chemicals, materials science, synthetic biology, food ingredients and biomass sectors. Industrial and environmental biotechnology is at the forefront of the biobased economy, generating good-paying jobs and making cleaner products and manufacturing processes.
